The woman who he sent to the gallows was one of those.
Her name came on his list, and he obeyed the order to let her dangle. That she winked at him while the rope was fitted to her neck, and accosted him in the market a mere moment after she'd swung...
How? It wasn't possible! And yet...
Right and wrong aren't black and white, and the magistrate found himself reviewing his ghost's actions until he concluded that, perhaps, she wasn't all "thief" either. Now he just had to convince her that a life outside of crime was better than one in it...
